November 1 , 2007 Guiliana's Progess Guilianna continues to make progress every day. She is so happy, the majority of the time, and has become all the more mobile lately. She does not want to sit still for even a second! For the most part, she gets around by commando crawl. She is getting stronger and has had less episodes of getting sick. She has the determination and the willpower to get up and go, and each day her progress proves that she will do that one day. She is eating great, and growing so tall. Despite everything that Guilianna has been through, her family, doctors and therapists are still very happy with her continual improvements. October 2007 Guilianna had a routine visit with her neurologist and was sent to have a sleep study. The doctor thought that Guilianna might have symptoms of sleep apnea. The sleep study revealed exceedingly abnormal results, that she does have severe Central and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The study also discovered that Guilianna never reached the REM sleep stage. The neurologist then sent Guilianna to her Pulmonologist and E.N.T (ear, nose and throat) doctors for them to review these results and make their recommendation. Continued... |
